Reporting bugs
If you think you have found a bug, there are a number of steps you can go through to make the report very effective:
- Ask another person to try and replicate the bug. Asking around will help to get a sense for the bug and will stop reporting issues that aren't actually bugs.
If the bug can be replicated and the other person agrees that the issue is indeed a bug, then go onto the bug tracker to report it.
- A useful bug report contains:
- What you tried to do.
- What happened.
- What should have happened.
- Steps to replicate the bug.
- Information about your system, and device.
