Use your stylus to open the START menu; press the second to last option, "Settings". Switch to the "System" tab on the bottom of the screen, and open the "About" item.

If the version info says:

Windows Mobile Version 5.0 and the copyright date is 2005 - then you are using Windows Mobile 2005.

otherwise, the version information displayed here will help you determine your Windows version.
