How to Identify your Windows Mobile version
From SynCE-Wiki

What's in a name?
Much of the SynCE support pages require that you know what version of what Operating System is running on your device. Instructions on this wiki can be different depending on your OS.
Note: different devices that supposedly have the same version of Operating System may have slightly different options. If you find your device is different to this howto, then please update this page!
- Start by turning on your device and accessing the Start Menu
- Select Settings
- There are three tabs at the bottom labelled Personal, System, and Connections. Select System.
- Select the About icon.
- The first line (eg. Microsoft(R) Windows Mobile(TM) Version 5.0) contains the version, in this case 5.
