Synchronization There's two-way support for synchronizing contacts, and a base implementation for synchronizing the calendar, though the latter is currently broken. sync-engine-python in Subversion (trunk/oleavr-files) implements the engine, and the module called opensync-plugin contains a plugin for OpenSync which uses the synchronization engine to synchronize the supported items. This is all experimental so your mileage may vary, but the code is under heavy development so it should improve in the near future (contributions are very welcome). |
Windows Mobile 2003
Windows Mobile 2003 is fully supported by SynCE with synchronisation working. Visit the SourceForge site for information on getting this working.

Synchronization Synchronization with KDE is done using the KDEPIM (kontact) and raki. You have to configure raki to use vdccm so that it can start it up automatically. In the system tray, you use the left mouse button to choose your device and configure it. You have to configure "Appointment", "Contact" and "Task". For each of them check the checkbox and choose "Config". There tell raki which resource to use (choose from the pulldown menu). The 3 checkboxes "Synchronize at PDA-Connect", "Close when completed" and "Disconnect when completed" should be disabled until everything is working. When everything is configured, again use the left mouse button - the right one is for general configuration, whereas the left one is for specific devices - to choose your device and this time press "Synchronization". Good luck. |
